Parlay In Kōchi

A blending of several small villages on the southwestern coast created the current incarnation of Kochi (or Cochin), where sunset strolls, sampling fresh fish from seaside vendors and boat rides through the islands just offshore top visitors' to-do lists. Art centers showcase the traditional dance, Kathakali. European influences are seen in the 16th-century Portuguese-built churches and forts, while the mark of early Chinese traders is visible in the unusual fishing nets dotting the shoreline.

Hotel Nikko Kochi /Asahi Royal

Nice hotel, with good location - not too far from the town centre and with incredble views on the surroundings from the restaurant and the bar (what a view wonderful view on the mounts and river for breakfast).
Nice room and services. Good staff, however a bit limited in English sometimes.
The restaurant is great and even the little café on the ground floor worth to stop for a drink or piece of cake!
from $95 - $243 per night. Also Great prices

This restaurant is the greatest the food and ambiance is awesome, the service was very slow but we still had a good time, we loved it! Our choices for the evening were: sauteed mushrooms, cornbeef hash balls, seared ahi, ahi katsu, kalbi and garlic chix. All of it was yummy but I was disappointed with the service. Most places that I eat I usually get all entrees at the same time but our friends got their plates first and ours came 10 minutes later. So we all ended up just sharing our plates like family style. Another service point that upset me was the sauteed mushrooms that we ordered as an appetizer didn't show up until we were almost done with the entrees and they had to be reminded about it 2x! I commend them on all the available servers on the bar side checking on us but by doing that servers had no idea what table ordered what and it was up to the customer to verify if everything ordered was receieved. I would definitely eat there again but preferably on the dining side as their drinks are expensive, not unless you go with the $4 crown and stoli all flavors.
